Okay my ITG2 here in town is still broke as of Friday, so I have traveled to Fort Collins to stay in practice the last couple of days, and I took the time to find and verify all machines in Fort Collins and here are my results:

DDR Extreme at Chipper's Lanes (Horsetooth Center) Fort Collins, CO
All in all probably the best place to play in Fort Collins. It is the only public four panel in town these days it seems. Right side is probably the best side to play on though I am rather certain that the up arrow probably has a sensor or two out as that kept pad missing throughout the night. Left side is a little unpredictable for some reason as pad misses come at random to the point it was difficult to identify where. Sound is very decent. Monitor needs replacement someday I think because it has become so desaturated that it is difficult to see the arrows, especially against the glare of the lights above. Game runs for $.75 cents for 3 songs in normal mode. The location is moderate. It gets very noisy however especially on league nights, and you get challenged by bowlers who are well... here see for yourself. The staff is friendly but the place gouges on the snack bar (a 8 ounce soda costs $1.50! with no refills!) and of course a place like that is a no outside food or drink establishment. Thankfully a tasty water fountain and restrooms is nearby the machine. This place gets a B for its over noisy environment and very worn out machine but still maintains a level of playability to enjoy in DDR.

Pump It Up: New Xenesis at Tilt, Foothills Mall, Fort Collins, CO
This is the best deal in town right now and maybe the best machine. It's rather unusual to see a NX inside a old school Pump cabinet (the one that looks like a DDR cabinet), and as far as I have been told, Tilt somehow was able to hack the machine to use NX. Monitor is in very good condition and easy to see the screen just as the minimal lighting of the room is also helpful. The machine pads are also decent but there are occasional pad misses. Sound is also decent but can be drowned in the noise of other games if they are played at the same time. Also another thing that makes this machine a drag to play at anymore is the lackluster environment of this arcade now. It's the best deal in town at $0.50 for 3 songs. A few months ago Tilt going all money-pinched in today's economy removed all Ticket redemption games and laid-off the staff. So now there is less games in there and many fall apart quickly in the unmanned entertainment center (my friend had trouble playing a Guilty Gear XX a while back due to bad controls or so he claims) in addition to the mall's lack of well customers (I was there on a Friday night and there was no one really shopping there) the arcade is often empty and depressing to be in alone. So this place also gets a B.

Chuck E Cheese's has a Pump... something...
Well I would check it but they won't let adults just come to just play at the arcade. Figures. Since I was denied as a customer, they get a instant F.

Pump It Up Exceed 2 at Fort Fun, Fort Collins, CO
This location does get the award for most improved, but with the exception of CEC's it does score last in quality and value. Since my last visit a few years ago they have upgraded the machine to Exceed 2 (it used to be a Premiere 2), and the pads actually worked! Last time I could even select a song I wanted. The machine does have pad misses though (most notably the right side upper arrows are bad). In addition this is probably the worse deal in town as the machine is $1.00 for 3 songs and not only that you must pay at least $5 to activate or charge one of their point cards for the game (time cards do not work in the arcade). After carefully looking around it came to no surprise that everything was overcharged (Time Crisis 3 was $1.50 a game!) If you want to go to a family fun center for a good dance game get together you do better driving to Northglenn and going to Boondocks. Also a dead house in this day and age. All in all this place gets a C.

All in all I think DDR Extreme at Chippers wins this town for being at least a decently priced dance game in a lively (if not too lively) place. Well that is all I could find out, and no other new locations I could learn about. The town itself (which is my hometown by the ways) is now a passerby to traveling dance gamers like myself because there just is no longer any place that sticks out and is attractive to play at. Don't we all miss the days of Games Extreme (I think that is what the arcade in the mall used to be called back when it had good games). If you do know of another public placed dance game in Fort Collins (or any other city I have reviewed) that I have missed, please let me know! I appreciate any civilized comments and appeals to my reviews.
