SO ive seen talk on many forums about this issue - players who need a pad that wont slide on carpet, and can handle like 11-footers (ya know : like pluto relinquish ONI type steps) but that is NOT a $200 metal-pad. Seems they may or may not exist, but so far my Ignition2.0 works fine on everything 9 footer and below : but once i start hittin serious streams, the whole thing just flies away ~bye bye~
so if such technology exist, why isn't it more mainstream? - Or are we stuck using the ol' Valcro on the pad/carpet trick again?
Just tryin to get thought as im tryin to make some edits to my favorite songs translated to pad-steps : but i cant even test em cuz my pad slides too much lol. and ya i could come down there and test em after i get a simi-valid mix : but then again, id rather look like a fool trippin to my own badly synched steps at home insted of in front of every1 else lol.
So...discuss if you please :D
Ya im good...ya i just beat you on Trip Machine Climax on DDR-GB3....no i dont have a life T_T

As far as I know, you can either mod your soft pad (tape / nail your soft pad to a panel of wood so it doesn't move, there are tutorials somewhere) or buy the metal pad. I really think the metal pad will be better for you over time, but it's your choice.

lol - i try to avoid buying those metal pads : o ya they work well - but id either need to get the kind that doesnt like click when you hit the panals : or get the simi-hard ones that are essentially plastic, cuz noise is a factor where i live sadly.
